TWO MORE CENTS. (lol i dont know why i’m so opinionated tonight)
I recently saw a comment on facebook about how people posting those Canada Goose pictures are hypocrites for boycotting the company, when most of those people are meat-eaters that don’t do anything about the cruelty behind the food they eat. (This was coming from a non-vegetarian too). Anyways, being a pescetarian, I can’t even put down those people protesting Canada Goose that harshly. Yes they (for the most part) are meat eaters. Yes there is an insane amount of animal cruelty behind the slaughtering of meat for food. However, no one can expect people to INSTANTLY change and cut out ALL sources of animal cruelty in their life. It would be awesome if that could happen, but realistically, change is a slow process. I’ve been trying to advocate to people cutting down on animal products/meat from what ever their current habits are now, because every little bit counts. If everyone took those small steps, then it could eventually grow to something bigger. Even I’m trying to phase out my pescetarian lifestyle and adapt to vegetarianism. So for those meat-eaters that are trying to raise awareness about CG animal cruelty, thank you. I hope that leads you to discovering more about animal cruelty and speciesism that will help change your lifestyles one day.
